This chandelier by Casa Padrino has an unusual silhouette: it grows wider towards the bottom, not narrower. Seven gold-coloured rings are staggered like the roofs of a pagoda, the smallest at the top, the widest at half height; below that the body draws together again across several layers.
Every ring carries closely spaced crystal prisms. Because the rings project to different extents, the drops do not overlap but form clearly separated bands. Seen from below this produces concentric circles of light.
At 75 cm high this chandelier is built markedly taller than wide. It needs room to fall and comes into its own where it can hang freely: in a stairwell, in a room with a gallery, above a round table or in a foyer.
Despite its stately appearance the weight stays moderate at 21 kg; an ordinary load-bearing ceiling fixing is enough.
